4l80E can this be done

IIRC there is a such thing as a force overdrive u hit the button and u can lock overdrive in when u fill its necasary. The 350 motor i got did not come with a tranny so i am using my 4l80E can i put a tongue switch in the truck and flip it when the truck needs to hit overdrive. I beilve thats the only electronic thing on it other then torque converter. Which i beilve i can do that with the torque converter just didnt no about overdrive.

The trans absolutely will not work without a trans controller. The controller controls every gear change, line pressure & converter lockup. As I stated in your other transmission thread, the only other option is a manual valve body where you have to shift every gear like a manual trans.

O ok i must of over looked that part lonnie. Do you no where i can get a manual VB??

4L80e.

e means electronic. Yes you can get full manual valve bodies, but why would you want to?

Ben unless i can take the wiring and stuff off the 6.5 and put it all on the 350 motor i thought that i would need a manual vb in order to get it to shift propley. Also im not sure thats it is a E i do no there are alot of wires that run to it so i suspect its a E

If it is a 4L80, it is definitely an "E". They are all electronic.
