Short if the long is this: spun a bearing in my 350, rather than spend $1000 to rebuild that motor I found a 454 that after opening up I found to be .040 over and 010/010 mains/rods leading me to believe I had found a jasper reman motor. Upon pulling this motor apart I found some rust in cylinders and heads were junk(exhaust valves beat the seats backwards). So I took to a rebuild. Pulled it all the way down, had crank polished, picked up a better set of oval ports(781 casting), comp extreme 4x4 hydraulic cam and lifters, comp double roller timing set, air gap intake, new rod and main bearings. I need to find a set of roller tips cheap and also a set of push rods. But it's going back together nicely. 112 more cubic inch's oughta be awesome.
