Contimplating changing my 4202 for a 4202 mag. What difference would I see and can I use the same pedestal/etc? Truck is street driven but not everyday and is mostly a sled puller. This charger would be ok in my pulling class. Does the mag spool the same as the 4202, I have heard that they have a wider powerband, but the end result is the same, is this true? Thanks

I talked to Dan @ PPE a few yrs back and he runs one on his truck or did back then. A 42 mag is just a 45 with the 42 cover on it but I'm not sure aboiut the exhaust side. I know Larry (7.1L black dmax Larry) ran one but that was with .5 more liters. And you should be able to run the same pedistal and even down pipe. But again talk to Dan

Your Gt4202R will support up to 950 hp compressor section is 74.7mm(2.99")inducer/102mm exducer

The Gt4208R Magnum supports up to 1,200 hp compressor section is 80.8mm(3.2") inducer/108mm exducer

Your install kit will work with this swap.

Thanks guys, would I see any improvement, as stated the 4202 will support 950hp and I'm not there, haven't dynoed the current setup, but I believe it to be around 800rwhp, would changing the charger do me any good or just wasting money?
