Just curious if anyone knows what kind of warranty a 4094 has? I know I'm probably SOL but figured its worth a try.
Bought a 4094vvt last week of October 2012, so it is just barely under a year old. Had it converter to a 72mm about 3 months ago. Turbo all together has about 8000-10000 miles on it and it started throwing a p0045 and p0046 the last 2 days and of course it won't build boost and all that good stuff.
Troubleshot and found the vane position solenoid isn't working properly anymore(hence the no boost and codes it threw). Pulled turbo off yesterday and cleaned it to rule out sticking vanes. It was clean as a whistle and threw it back on. What do you know...throws the codes again on start up. Verified stock turbo and 4094 have the exact same solenoids..so I swapped the stock turbo solenoid over to 72mm and bam, no more codes and it works great.

Modding it into the 72mm would have absolutely no effect on the solenoid but you all know how warranties go...
