Question: 3mm led vs 5mm led dash lights?

Well guys Im attempting a led light swap on everything in the dash of the truck and was wondering if I should use the same size as factory everywhere or try and squeeze in 5mm bulbs in some spots where the factory was only 3mm? Thanks for any help!

Thats what I was thinking but I have also heard of people adding extras in to try and avoid hot spots... Ill try all factory sizing and start a thread with my progress this weekend!

on mine, i had to tweak the bulbs around or add a peice of paper to "dim" the light and spread it out more. mine came with all regular bulbs though so going to LED was way more hassel

I got 12v leds so shouldnt be too bad.... but i guess ill find out

Im going to use the LED "Rope" lights around the inside of the plastic housing. I think Cornell did his this way and looks great.

3mm behind all the buttons and 5mm where the larger stock bulbs were and behind the volume and tuner button... I took a ton of pics and will post them up sometime here soon. Any other questions and Id be glad to help!
