To this point I have left the front sway bar on my truck. I am sold on adding better adj shocks. Has anyone (2wd) tried removing the sway bar to improve the launch? I have done this on drag cars but never on a truck with this much weight over the front.:baby:

I have heard of sled puller removing it to better follow the track, so I am guessing it would benefit on the strip I just wouldnt make any sudden steering manuevers going down the track or it might cause some unwanted body roll

Hmm, good topic for us "2 Wheel Peel, Crew" guys:rofl:

Might need do give it a shot but with this much weight on the front end, if it gets loose down track and gets crossed-up, might make a hairy situation worse. If the truck is lowered a ways and some stiff susp. up front, might be better off? And maybe some suspension travel stops/straps?

principle wise it would make sense..

i can tell you form addin ~150-200lb behind the rear axle on mine (tork lift hitch(100lb) bumper easy 100lb) over factory. the is def noticeable better traction on the rear... nose raises alot more more quickly

last sunday i was able to cut a 2.08 60' launch at 1800rpm with 315/75/16 at 26psi on stock PYO rims... with ~15gl in my (in the bed tank)

track opens saturday for TNT... will have a full 60gl (extra 325lb)..

def look at shock that can get a really soft rebound(droop) valving allowing the fornt to rise more
