I just picked up a battery tray for the express vans. But it didn't come with any hard ware or anything to hold the battery down. Does anyone have this on there truck? Did you run completely new wires for it to reach the battery?

Typically people will cut the little tab off the bottom of the tray that sticks down. The factory plastic triangular looking hold down clamp bolts right in to retain the battery. Then just get 4x 3/8-16 bolts about an 1" to 1.5" long and bolt her on. Use a jack to get the height correct while you mark it. Make sure you have enough clearance up top to actually install the battery cables but not so tight that they could touch the body. People say they make there cables fit with no extension but in my experience I just extend them. It is best to buy the proper 1ga crimp tool as well. Hope this helps.

Yeah I don't have my factory retainers. But I will try to find some. The jack is good idea though. Thanks for the input

I bought an odyssey PC-1750 group 65 and put in my truck as a single. This battery is amazing!!

Specs are here http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc1750t.htm

I paid $262 picked up in Houston

It fits right in, only trouble is you turn the battery backwards because the post polarities are backwards. Turning the battery around leaves you room to hook up the factory connections without changing a thing.

Sub. I'm thinking of relocating both of my batteries to the frame but near the rear wheels and possibly on the inside of the frame. Haven't crawled under the truck to look at possible mounting points yet though.

You'll have a fuel tank and exhaust in your way unless you want to put it in front of the tank or behind the axle.

I'm going to mount mine above the exhaust under the front part of the bed. I measured and there is plenty of room. Inside the frame rails, and above the exhaust. I have a lb, so probably more room for me than the sb guys. I'll have to move exhaust hangers later when I add a 3rd battery, but 2 fits easily.

I'll post pics when I actually get to building the box. Saving up for some weatherproof boxes to put them in too.
