I have a set of 245/75/16 tires I use solely for my track set up. I have never seen anyone else running them, are they too small? I have a set of 285/75/16 too but they are mud tires and are triple the weight.

my buddy Beech runs my old stock PYO's with my OEM tires in 245/75/16. He did 12.3@107 in an LLY with just caltracs, BigDipper trans, and a little weight reduction.

I can cut a 1.7x with nothing done other than rancho shocks on the rear on 9. Don't even have my bars on yet
I think you will be better off with the 245's. 1.7's aint bad for street tires. My best with street tires is a 1.72 and that was on 265's.

I'm only asking about 60's because it seems for me anyway that a little change in my 60' has a big impact on my overall time.

he was running my old Rancho shocks, Caltracs, he removed I think two leaves per side, lowered the front end as much as possible, and my old (light) wheels/tires, and a lot of practice, lol. Plus, we are local to Atco... it's a fast track :)

I'm more worried about it hurting my top end though. I don't know. Guess I should try it and see what happens.
