We're looking at getting my wife a new Tahoe with the 3.0 Duramax in it, took it for a test drive today and it felt OK, it looks as if there is tuning for it via HP Tuners... any options for tuning other than spending $3,000 for 40hp and 100ftlb increase?

HP Tuners website shows support to stop at the 2023 year model, but that information could be out of date. Your best bet would be to send them an infolog and a picture of the sticker on the back of the ECM if you have access to get them that information.

We just bought one(2024 Tahoe RST 3.0L) this past month and it's the first new vehicle we have ever purchased. The first thing I did to ours was install the PPE Intercooler upgrade(stock one is a joke at best) and it really woke it up! We love the vehicle and I plan to do a few more upgrades to it soon. I'm installing the PPE oil pan and probably going to get the heat exchanger for the intercooler also and an intake for it. I don't plan on doing any tuning for awhile because it is brand new and for what we got it for it is perfect right now.

Depends of you can find a new 23 model, those E66 are supported now. To know for sure you’ll need to plug into the vehicle with hpt beta and pull an info log.

Just did the oil pan upgrade to ours last week and definitely worth it! I had the front of the vehicle up on jackstands over night with the drain plug out of it and there was still 1/2 quart of used oil in the pan of it. New pan picks up 2 full quarts of capacity and is just a way nicer product than the cheap stamped stock pan. We have put over 4k miles on this vehicle in a couple of months and we love it. Intake upgrade is next for it.

Not sure if everyone knows or not but the 3.0 and 6.6s hold power back until they get a few kms on them. Mine felt like double the power increase after 1000km on it.
