What's the best way to level my 16 2500 HD, I've been told to crank the torsion bars up by some and told to purchase the keys/leveling kit by some. I want to do whats least harmful to my truck long term. This is my 1st 2500 HD duramax so I'm a newbie but I want my truck to last.

actual lift kit is the best way. leveling kits put more stress on your steering and cv's (if you use 4wd).

So I'm better off to just get new A arms set up for a 2" lift, is that correct?

no, im not talking about a leveling kit. Im talking about an actual lift kit that drops the LCA and has a taller knuckle to reconnect to the UCA. it will also drop the front diff.

this is the best way, any other way will shorten the life span of your front end parts without major beefing up and spending in parts. even still, you have a front end that will not be well controlled when used in 4wd and the ride will never be as good as it can be

Even if it's a pavement queen, all it takes is one good hole at speed to bust ball joints, etc. they make a 3" lift for the new trucks that drops the diff and takes the angles out of everything without buying a full lift but it's only a few hundred less than a full lift.

I would put a few turns on the torsion bar adjustment bolts and I bet I will sit the way you want and will not harm your truck. you will need a alignment when you do this. and remember if you tow at all leave a small rack to the front or it will look silly when a trailer is hooked to it.

I use Ready Lift SST stage 4 kits. Last one was on my 15, it had 53k on it and was still tight. I went with another on the 16, also added Fox 2.0 shocks. Ride is better than stock, includes upper control arms, tie rods, keys, differential drop bracket and 1" block for the rear. I run 22"s with 35's, you can't even tell I swapped from the factory 20's ride and handling wise....

I lowered the rear 1" and cranked 2 turns on the Torsion bar bolts. Mine has actual 1/2" rake but looks like more due to the wheel opening in relation to the body lines..
