This last week I had the opportunity to go to SEMA for the first time and had an absolute blast! I was able to find some new products that are finally being released to the public market.
CP Carillo announced the release of their new forged piston with their "armor coating" for the duramax. View attachment 35690
They also released a new piston for the cummins (forged as well) with the same coating. But the interesting thing about the piston is that it is actually a duramax piston with a cummins top on it. To accommodate the shorter piston, they developed a longer rod for the cummins. Their reasoning behind this was to lower the stress on the cylinder walls and to help with ring distortion.
