What are they thinking? http://www.chevrolet.com/ss-sports-sedan.html

For $46k, I'm not sure who the market is.

Too late, but...

1) Gold bowtie grill emblem looks like arse. Should have been SS emblem.
2) Needed 415HP badges.
3) Needs more visible spoiler.
4) A couple of racing stripes would have been nice.

This should have been like a Grand National, but instead it looks like a taxicab.

The changes above would affected the price less than $100.

OK, I get that it's supposed to compete with cars such as the base 5-series BMW, which has very understated body design. But BMW/etc folk aren't going to buy something with a Chevy emblem on the grill.

If it is a superior product, it's not going to matter. You need it to stand out, like the CTS-V. Optional ghost flames paint would have been a good idea. Something to catch the eye and the heart.

I agree on the SS badge instead of the bowtie on the grille!! Also, the rear bumper lower plastics should be color matched! Other than that, I kinda like it! But, we'll be in a Suburban (large SUV) for many more years!

Why even make that car? And why name a whole model after a trim/power level package? What does that car do that other models won't? Supposed to replace the Pontiac G8? Useless IMO

As a former G8 owner I like the car. Just not the price. Great sports sedan with plenty of room for everyday use and a blast to drive. Just needs the LSA and a 6 speed. :D

it cant have an SS badge because it is not a "Super Sport" like all the other SS's were, its a "sports sedan" which imo sounds gay as hell. :gaybow:

I don't hate it. You get the performance without drawing a ton of attention. Obviously as enthusiasts we can all point out flaws but hopefully the aftermarket addresses the issues.

GM uses NASCAR participation as a marketing tool for this car. And it's a player in the Aussie V8 Supercar series (NASCAR on steriods).

The plain Jane body treatment doesn't agree with how this car is being sold.

I couldnt pry any info from my nephew about this car today. I figured it was the 6.2 engine. Will be interesting once people start hotrodding them.

Looks like GM built this car so they'd have an updated entry for NASCAR. Nothing wrong with that. We benefit from it.
