I have a pretty loud rattle that sounds like it is coming from the dash near the windshield. It only happens when the truck is cold and only at idle. When the truck warms up or as soon as you come off idle the rattle goes away. The dealer has tried to move a heater hose clamp, part of a TSB I think, but it didn't help. Any ideas???

if you think it is near the windshield then there is a good chance the dash is touching the windshield glass, i work as a toyota tech and i am always stuck doing rattles. try sticking a peice of foam in between the dash and glass to separate them a little and see what happens.
also have you tried pushing on different parts of the dash while driving to see if it changes.

I'm a service advisor for a VW dealer, so I know what it means to get stuck with rattles. My truck will make the noise just sitting in the driveway in park. I have pusshed all over the dash trying to find the source. I think it maybe under the hood.

My 2011 LML has a rattle in the dash when I first start it after sitting for a few hours or over night It rattles till it warms up. Passenger side of the dash. Has done it since day one.
