LMM: 2010 lmm turbo boot blowout

The boot coming off the turbo keeps blowing out on my old truck. Gm wants 800 for the whole setup. Is there anything else that will fix this. Also is this common. Stock turbo with a josh h tune.

The factory boots have to be installed in a certain direction. They have a groove in them for the one side. I have had a LMM blow off that was never worked on by GM or anyone and it was installed backwards. No problems since installing it correctly.

I blow a hole in my boot with a stock turbo. Could they make the stock boot any thinner? It looks mighty cheap compared to the LB7 boots.
