Hi my names mike and when i was driving a few days ago my windshield wipers stopped working, i started to check fuses and none were blown or anything. Now not only do my wipers not work but my turn signals dont work (hazards do), rpm gauges goes form 0 then goes to normal and then back down to 0, displays check windshield washer fluid, and also my air bag and seat belt warning lights are flickering and very dim. Now when i click my seat belt in the rpm gauge works fine. Any suggestions on what is wrong or the first thing i should check?

If it takes clipping the seat belt together to make things seem ok the the system is searching for a ground. Could be the wire from the batt to the body, could be a dash ground, I have even seen a blown fuse act this way. Damn Lincoln, everytime you hit the power window switch down the headlights would flash??? ending up being the domelight fuse??? So, check all fuses for power thru them not just visual, check the grounds behind the kickpanels, on the bottom of the dash, and at the body from the battery really well.

I merged the threads to consolidate all info into one spot. I also moved it into the electronics forum since it seems to be an electrical problem.

In the past month nothing has been done to it, about 2 months ago i switched from a standered ppe to the ats e-power. other than that the truck has stage 1 garret turbo upgrade, ported fuel rail, suncoast trans, and a air dog.

Have you checked the grounds on each side of the engine down by the pan? Engine to chassis strap?

yes i checked those, along with every single fuse and ground on the whole truck. i cant seem to find the problem at all.

Also look at the grounds under the seat (grounding the airbag computer), cab harness grounds running to the speakers/dome light, and check the grounds for the airbag impact sensor(s).

could actually be two seperate problems. The multi function switch(ie:turn sig switch) has been a pain in the butt on the new chevys. Wipers, turn signals and sometimes lights do some crazy things. We have found a burned ground wire going into the back of it on several trucks from 95-05 and i do mean several. You can usually pull the column covers and wiggle the harness where it goes into the back of the switch. if its bad you have to buy the whole damn thing:mad:.

Yeah the wipers work now, but the blinkers dont, and i still have the flickering dash lights and jumping rpm gauge.
