Finally fixing to have my Duramax tuned with EFI. Will be installing this week WCF air cleaner setup, y-bridge, hot & cold pipes, down pipe, intake horn and profab manifolds and up pipes.

Now of course we all know that the trans will die on higher settings. From what most tuners I have talked to said with good tunes should be able to get around 475-550hp on the ground?? Not sure how close those numbers are in the real world.

Truck is a 4wd CCLB 6" lift , 35-12.50/20's and trans is stock and in good working order with 130k on it.

I don't need a trans that will hold 1000hp. What I want is a solid trans that will hold 550-650hp and be reliable. I don't tear my stuff up daily or tow very often. I do occasionally feel the need to run it hard and want a trans that won't let me down.

I have a lift etc in my shop so pulling it is no problem . My cousin builds stock ones on occasion at his shop , so have the means to build it.

What parts would I need or kit and converter?? I don't want to buy stuff I don't need but if I need it I'll buy it.

I know a trans go kit, triple disk converter are needed for sure and I'd do with a larger pan for more oil so it runs cooler.

Maybe Mike can chime in and point me the right direction ?? Possibly sell me the parts I need and let me know which converter I need for my driving habits and mods.

Call Evan at limitless and have him set you up with a trans kit and converter for your application. Period.

It'll do all your asking if you guys set it up right.

Or have him send you a built trans and you just bolt it in the truck.

This. You get an assembled kit and great service.

A deep pan won't help with temps. Get mikes cooler.

You also don't want a full transgo

a built allison is not the same as rebuilding stock ones. I would call evan and talk with him. he and his kit would be the best way to go if you want to build it. dont get cocky and think you dont need to call him if you have any doubts. it takes one thing you missed or put in upside down to kill the trans.
