Hello all trying to figure my truck out. It all started after sitting awhile it would hard start. It was losing fuel out of filter, if you prime it it would start and run fine and if you shut it down it would start right back up till it sat. Well truck sat about a month and I drove it probably 10 miles in that amount it quit on me twice. I had to prime started fine well after getting there and shutting it down it sat alittle. Then couldn't keep it running i ended up installing a fuel pump on frame to get it home but its still giving me fits any ideas??? I rebuilt fuel filter head a couple weeks ago no change. Tonight I checked fuel pressure relief valve. Checked ok. No smoke at all no fuel in oil.looking for any advise thanks in advance!!!!

Any ideas?? Yesterday I replaced rubber lines off fuel filter head, and repaired a couple lines under truck, tested fprv unhooked lift pump if I prime it it'll start and run about 30 seconds then quit.

You are losing prime somewhere! Keep looking.

What lift pump did you install? And where is it picking up fuel? Lb7s can have issues with lift pumps sucking the fuel basket dry with less than 1/2 tank of fuel, it will cause a hard start but should run fine after that.
