My truck has been stalling periodically over the past month. The immediate solution is to pop the hood and prime the little hand pump above the fuel filter. I had the filter changed at Chevy last week and the service guy thought that would solve the problem.Once changed he said it looked like the gasket was put on wrong so it would most likely be it.. Today 100 miles from home towing a trailer to pick up an old tractor it happened again. It stalled several times and finally we turned off the AC and we were able to keep it running long enough to complete our work and get home. When we were priming a good amount of fuel was leaking from somewhere nearby. Again the solution today was to turn off the air and we made it. Any suggestions as to what I should try next? I'm afraid it will get worse. Why would the air conditioner have such an effect on stalling? It was hot today, but once we turned off the air the truck ran ok. Is this a permanent solution ? I cold do without the air for a while. The dealer wants around $300 just to analyze the problem. I appreciate any feedback.
