Well, tonight i was installing an airdog on an 02 lb7, i first went to do the return because it was easy, well i pulled down the rubber tube to find a plastic tube inside of it. The return line setup is what i have on my lly (filler neck tube insert). On my lly i didn't have this plastic tube in it, is this some type of air vent or what haha? I didn't go any further as i was way to lazy haha. Any insight on this? :woott:

Yeah mine has that. I have the adII so i just hooked into the factory return. I think its for air return as you fill up cause i only remember pullin one tube off my tank when i dropped it besides the fuel return and supply lines

Yeah, its retarded... It's just an airdog 100 with quick connects. Aren't the returns 3/8" line? I would rather have it return to the top of the tank instead of the fill neck, but all my lines are 1/2"

Was reading through here before I installed my ad165 this weekend and wasn't sure of what you guys were talking about. Couldn't find a single pic anywhere so I snapped one during install. I pulled the filler neck, cut the outer hose, inserted the metal tube and stuffed the neck back inside the outer hose. Maybe this will help someone out someday.

So you can remove the plastic neck completely and have no problems filing up?

I wouldnt. You will probably have fuel backing up at the nozzle b/c the air in the tank wont have anywhere to escape.

Correct.

Leave the plastic tube and your fuel ups will be much more user friendly

I definitely put it back in. Point of the picture was to show what this "inner tube" is. Just trying to help the visual people like me get an idea before they get their hands dirty.
