LB7: 2002 brake controller install

Good morning everyone,

First and foremost I searched!@ Couldn't find what I was looking for as there is not very much on this for my model year truck. As it's an 02 and I guess it's getting old although i just got it and would like to install a brake controller in it. I imagine it's a fairly easy process once I know where to find the wires for it are. I already own a brake controller from my previous truck so I have done this before. From what I read there is also an harness that could make my life easier... Where could I find such an harness.

I don't know which brand you have but you can get one here I believe.

Normally they come with your truck from GM when you get the towing package. It's plug and play

Local places that sell hitches and controllers will have it also.

What brand of brake controller is it? Some of them are rather simple and all you need to do is find the right wires to splice into. I know that Reese company makes harnesess. My truck came with a Tekonsha Sentinal already installed and it is a 2002. Maybe I could inspect the wiring later today and tell you where they go.

I would say the local auto parts store should have the harness at least they had them at all of our stores.
