2002 Allison Reverse but no forward

I have a 5 speed allsion that lost the forward gears, however it still has reverse.

Here are the codes that it has P0731 P0732 P0841 P0500 P0571 P0776

What are your thoughts?

Was normal driving conditions, stopped at a stoplight and wouldn't move when I went to take off.

The truck was bought with at ATS trans in it and does not have many miles on it.

It's a friend of mine's. He's had the truck probably 8-12 months. Truck isn't beat on at all since he bought it. I talked to the previous owner and he put the ATS trans in after the original went out. It's the ATS that's one that is supposed to hold 600hp.

I guess you just want people to bash ATS in your thread. Call them first, I'm sure they will be happy to help you out. Tim suggested a guy, I suggested the general manager. It's their product, they deserve the opportunity to assist you and or make things right.

I'm not trying to bash anyone at all, I just know the warranty is probably no longer valid since he is not the original owner. I thought I would see what people thought the issue was by the codes that it shows. I've never had a personal problem with anything from ATS. I was just giving details to what it had that might help diagnose.

I would be looking at speed sensors and possible transfer case problem. If you have questions call me. calling ATS is worthless.

I guess geritol don't keep a man as alert as he lets on. For a man of your age, I didn't expect such childish intervention. He may have posted in your fan club section of this board but he specified an ATS unit. They have a right to help this guy. In business you never bad mouth your competition, you only make yourself look bad. It's petty and customers see it only as a cheap shot and desperate attempt to get their business.

From what I found when I had a issue Mike is right calling ATS is worthless. I went down that road when my trans failed as have many others. Mike was huge help on the phone even though I had never done any business with him and it wasn't his Trans.

I've known for a long time this is the place where people purposefully come to hate on ATS. It's fine. A fact I'm not going to change and I won't bother trying. Carry on.

I think its more of people having a lot of problems with ats and then when they call to get help they get none what so ever.. A lot of these guys had ats and if you heard there full story of how ats treated them maybe you would have a diff opinion..

You take things too personally. I actually appreciate a lot of what ATS has done to lead the way in the sport, the industry....I've been there, seen it. It's just too bad their stubborness in the transmission market is what it is. It's not "hate on ATS" at all, if you can see past your blindness;but instead it's "ATS transmission parts have always sucked and will always suck."
