Guys real simple question I want to be able to lock out my overdrive, the local dealer says they can't do it and the closest dealer capable is backed up for the next month. My question is I have an 03 Tcm from my parts truck the overdrive lockout works in it. Would I be able to just swap the Tcm or do I have to swap the Tcm ECM and possibly the ficm? Also if I can't just swap out and eventually get it in at the dealer does anyone know how and where to pin the Tcm for a lockout indicator light?

No it will not work by swapping in the tcm. You have to use an OS that has odlo enabled in it and flash it into your tcm.
It doesn't see the same signal/input. The pin you wire into for an 01-02 is direct to the tcm to tell it odlo via a momentary ground. Iirc, the 03-04 bcm sends a signal to the tcm via those coded messages (I dunno what they are called, can bus or GM lan or something along those lines lol, Ben or ferm will correct me I'm sure) to kick odlo on.
Basically, the pinning for 01-02 odlo is different than 03-04 and how it makes it kick in is different.

Install the switch and light, then see if it works. If it doesn't, it only takes a few minutes(although they charge an hour) for a dealer to flash your TCM to the newest TCM OS with OD/LO enabled. Many 02's already have the enabled OS already in them, so you may not need the flash. And the 01-02 uses a hard wired switch whereas 03-05 uses the tow/haul switch on the shifter held in for 10 seconds which triggers the BCM to send out a class 2 data signal to lockout 5th gear.

Fleece has an overdrive lockout tune on there web page. It is used with the tapshifter. If you have a v2 or someone nearby does flash it in. I have a copy on my computer if you need it text me your email address. 307 431 2482
