Got myself some 2002 Tahoe mirrors with the puddle lights. Installed them the other day but I have a problem when trying to connect the puddle lights. Obviously the mirror harness to the tahoe mirror is the same but the mirror has an extra wire for the lights.
I thought i would just run a wire from the light wire to the light at the corner of the door panel to receive the same function as a factory tahoe. But the lights would never turn off, they were getting constant power. So what am I doing wrong here?
I noticed that i can get to the two wires that go directly to the light, skipping the harness completely so do I need to wire those to a power/ground and they should get them to turn on and off light the rest of the dome lights?
