I was gonna order mishimoto intercooler pipes for my 2001 lb7 .part number mmicp-dmax-02 . They say they fit 2002 to 2004.5 lb7? I called them to ask if they fit a 01 to be safe.they had no idea all they said was its tested for a 02 to 04.5. Was just wondering if any of you guys know if there is any difference between 01 and 02 lb7? Or is it just a typo on there part? Im new to the duramax scene so apologies if this is a dumb question.

01 has a different y-bridge. So the inlet will be different. Can't confirm mishimoto stuff but I put some mbrp stuff on an 01 and we just had to get a different boot to fit it.

you can put a 2002 y-bridge on, just will need to plug the MAP hole as yours is in the intake runner, not in the y bridge. like Sean said, boot would be easier.
Im prety sure My truck is a federal emissions im from wisconsin and so is the truck.ill just go the boot rout probably. Do you think theres a difference between mishimoto and mbrp? Or should i go mbrp just to be safe? Since it worked for you.
My buddy has a set of mishimoto intercooler pipes for sale for a great deal. They came with a intercooler he bought but he didnt need them. PM me if interested.
I got mine used so I can't say what's better. I know mishimoto has better boots than mbrp but either way you will have to replace the top coldside boot. Mine fit fine because its an 02 by my buddy who has an 01 got a silicone elbow from siliconeintakes.com, just had to measure what size he needed after he found out what he had wouldn't work.
