Has anyone taken a 2 wheel drive 07-10 and put a transfer case and front diff in to make it a 4 wheel drive? I have the front diff already and Ive found several cheap low mile 4x2 trucks. What all would be involved? Can I get the wiring harnesses and the button for the dash and make it work pretty simply? Different tail shaft for the allison required or what?

Yeah, you would probably want to buy the tail housing with the shaft already installed. It would probably be easier if you used a manual shift transfer case. You might need a 4wd TCM. I'm not sure if a 2wd would have the programming necessary to recognize low range and full flashing isn't available for the 6 speed TCMs yet.

Just buy a 4wd IMO.... there's a rather exhaustive thread on here that I had started about doing this and I got tired of trying to get answers and just bought a 4wd manual trans. I have a 6spd tail housing and output shaft from a 4wd alli if you get a 2wd and decide to take it on. Making it mechanically go into 4wd isn't a problem, getting ALL the details sorted out so that it look and acts exactly like a stock oe 4wd is where I couldn't get all the answers. As with anything, you can make work-arounds and have a functioning truck but to do it all, will be a healthy undertaking IMO.
