2012??? I'd just wait and see what comes around the corner towards the end of 2011 before buying something for 2012. Shoot, the rules with BOB are liable to change between now and then. :thumb:
If you meant for 2011, the up-coming season, then Rob has you covered. I'd probably list them in the reverse order that he did for MY preference but all three of those offer viable options.![]()
2.6 turbo
whats are my ops? im running BOB rules, jus thinkin about moving up a class for 2012.
I would list your turbo budget then we can respond, it vary's a great deal when pulling is the plan , there are many great options , I have several borg and garret based turbo's that I have built and machined local , a few I buy from others , custom billet options , ball bearing , journal , ect pretty much skies the limit .
well i just want some compantys to start looking at and as far as 2012 well im not real sure i will b running with bob by then. i can bet you bottom $$ i will come up with some off the wall crap lol who knows we may just make it a 3.0 truck by then.
as far as money the sky is the limit!!!!!!!
thanks for the info
no doubt!! If money is "skies the limit", then by all means, get nutty with a 3.0 dmax. You'd be relatively new to the scene and it allows for quite a bit more creativity with things without pushing gray areas.
I've thought about trying it just to do it but I'd be even worse underpowered probably because I can't afford the build it'd take to be competitive. A moderate ODL truck can be built for similar money as building a strong 2.6 truck if starting from scratch like I am. Of course, like anything, you can get nutty with the top of the line ODL parts too.
If we had a 3.0 around here, i would probably think about it, but most of missouri/kansas is stuck on 2.6/2.8. Although i wouldnt want to have to pull with the ITPA very much, their 3.0 class is insane. If 3.0 ever got as competitive as 2.6 there would be just as much arguing/complaining.
