Here are some picks of it taken apart.

The impellers had hardly any wear and the inside of the housing looks very good. Is the O ring the only thing that needs replaced or should I also get a new gasket/grommet that the motor shaft goes through into the pump housing? I'm guessing that's the part that will be difficult to find.

Before, I get he "FASS, PPE, Kennedy" speech. I already know. I'm just trying to make this work and not chuck another $200+ out the window if I can keep this one from leaking. It ran fine when I toke it off, just a bit of a leak had started to develop.

Craig, I would try a Cat dealership. If you sent me the seal I could match it up for you. But I am sure you can find one at the Cat parts dept. just make sure it is a fuel seal.

I have tried two different seal's. One in mine and one in Tyler's (Cobra#3747). Both leaked within a day. We think the cold weather may be the culprit. If you notice, the warm weather guy's are not having any trouble.

These are photo's of mine with the motor apart aswell, that was where mine was leaking. You can see the build up in the motor housing.

Camera Phone in use. :D

Did you just replace the o-ring that seals the 3 hole plate on the bottom, or did you change the seal on the motor shaft as well?

If you did replace that seal, where did you get it?

I replaced them all. I have an entire pack of O-rings if you need one. The shaft seals I got from a local bearing/seal shop. I can't think of the name but I'll let you know. One shaft seal was Nytril, and one Viton. Both leaked. Tyler sent his pump back twice under warranty, both new one's leaked. He does not have 1792 anymore. :D

I am still thinking of what to go with.

No, I haven't dug it out yet. I'm hesitant to remove that one, it wasn't the one that was leaking, the bottom O-ring was. Chances are though, now that I have it apart, it will start leaking if I put the pump back together and don't swap it out as well.

I was kind of surprised that there wasn't an O-ring between the motor body and the pump housing.

All 3 of my 1792 pumps leaked around the shaft seal, all 3 filled the motor up with fuel.

The last 2 brand new out of the box filled the motor within a day. The last one before it was installed, I opened up the outlet port in the base and turned the pressure down to 7.5psi, still filled the motor up with fuel in a day.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm still trying to source a replacement for that shaft seal. Hopefully, I can get to the Hyd. shop in the next few days.
