I'm in need of two new hood adjustment bumpers and now I know why I can't find them in stock, lol. Is there a new number or an aftermarket adjuster/bumper that anyone can recommend? Thanks!

What's wrong with the original's? If you need them and absolutely can't find some I am sure I can come up with a nice set.

Don't forget Ebay...

They are seized in place and aren’t adjusted well. I’ve been spraying them for months.

Threaded rivet might be the word your looking for. Also known as a rivet nut

I think ours are M6-1.0

They are cheap on Amazon

It's been so long since I played with that stuff I forgot. I have the tool kit in my box. Usually had to install them on new tail gates that had the bolt on lip/wing thingy.

I bought a riv nut kit years back. All of the attachments they’d sell for metric and SAE, as well as an assortment of rivnuts. I knew once I had a need it would come in handy. The very next day I was pulling my buddy’s bed and two bolts were seized. I plasma cut them out, and used the 1/2” Rivnut to make threads. It worked perfectly. Since then, I’ve used it for all kinds of little projects :)

Been using rivnuts or nutserts for years. Mostly at work to remount power panel covers that had the finger style hold downs. And the slide lock types too.

They use bronze ones on boats. I hate them bc them are always seized up and just spin in place until you pry them out. Guess that’s what happens when you use stainless in brass with salt.
