Hey guys need some help with the bosses '99 GMC 1500. Last weekend he was running around looking at cattle and the cluster just quit on him. So I checked it Monday thinking maybe the weak alternator was the cause of the problem. Alternator checked out good at 14.5v. So I thought hell the cluster is just dead. Went and got one out of a wrecking yard and still nothing works. So what all else would I need to check? Thanks in advance guys.

What by chance would they be labeled as? The cluster still tries to fire on every once in awhile.
