you won't be able to visibly see the different between the 2. I'm sure that most of the automotive fittings that call out AN are not actually machined to the spec that the original AN was designed to.

I didn't expect the valve to be that expensive, but it is way overkill in this situation.

Call up your local parker guy, they have always been a ton of help to me at finding random ass connectors for work.

Im at the north end of phoenix. Not sure what you mean by what im near, i dunno where your work :D. My goal is to not splice into the lines if i dont have to and to keep restriction down (i dunno if those cheap ball vavles are -12 all the way through). if those ball valves will work, then i need one end as a female and the other as a male. the fitting on the end of the cooler cant be removed for me to put a male fitting in and that would be the only place i could put it without cutting into the line.
