I ran it for a few thousand miles like that before I went to a 366. I thought it ran fine.

I like mine so far, every now and then when i pull up to a stop light when the tranny shifts down it seems to shift down hard into 2nd or 1st, think its only first when I seen it on my cts but not sure

whats the advantage of the 366 over stock charger or a danville 66 or 68
no real advantage over a danville charger. 366 will spool a little slower. more costly up front because of the install parts you need, but if you ever wanted to step up to an s400 charger it will be way cheaper. alot easier to swap turbos

a danville charger will be more than enough for most people.

any other turbo setups that the 1058 works well with? is the cast 366 a good turbo?

Evan took the words out of my mouth. I hated it with my 68r so much wasted rpms until lockup. Even with a stock turbo I'd go with Evams limitless converter or the SUNCOAST 1074 . As far as the downshift goes I don't think that's the converter, seems to be the talk lately, almost like a flu going around.

It works alright with my s475 single. Isn't loose enough to launch super hard but it drives great. Lets the motor get going before it starts to couple hard, when it does it moves out quickly.

My experience with a 58 has not been real good personally.. I've got a s468 turbo and it's no problem to build over 20 lbs of boost sitting still. I've actually never done a full blown boosted launch in four wheel drive but just messing around I can blow right through it and sit on Rev limiter.

Like was mentioned this convertor can support a fairly big turbo in my opinion, I'm really wanting to try a tighter/lower stall convertor with my turbo even..

Kiwi, you should talk to Mike about the K converter from Georend. Sounds like it would be a good candidate for you. He might recommend the R though also. It kinda sounds like your right in between those 2.

Yeah I should talk to him sometime, it would help if I had someplace local I could trust to swap them out for me though. I don't race or anything so I could definitely use a tighter one then somebody that does race.

I ran a 1058 on my LBZ with a stock turbo with no issues. Then put a G converter in. I have drove stock turbo LLYs with the R converter and I like how they drive. I have drove trucks with a 68vgt on them (that I tuned of course) and it does really well.

We run a 1058 along with a 371 charger. Works great. Truck is stock other than charger, tuning, tranny and intake. Makes about 700 hp on max effort tune.
