1056 vs ML

Looking to put a new converter in my trans while i have one out and its being built. Looking for a good DD TC that pulls light loads and likes to get beat on a little on the street and off. im stuck between the 1056 and the presicion ML. Whats the difference just stall speed? what stall should i be looking for? Thanks.

I run a ML. And beat the snot out of it dd drag race almost every weekend and pull for the last 2 years. Cant complain great converter

I bought mine direct from PI. Can't go wrong with the ML converter, the sheepmaster had an awesome coneverter built up by em.

That's what ive heard but also the 1056 holds well but im looking at performance. What stall should it be? Also is the ML the pink one?

The ML I have is green. I think it comes as a 1600 stall but you can have it reatalled for your specific needs.

If you're going Suncoast I would choose the 1058.

I run a ML. Never ran anything else though. So I can't compare. Not sure the stall or the specs on it. But I do know it's pink lol

Im not sure yet ive been calling a few companies but i dont really like the way they described them working on it and there price is WAY out of my league so idk yet. i bought a spare i picked up cheap with way less milage about a 145k difference :thumb:. It will make it easier and if theres more wrong with it and i cant afford it, then i can still drive my truck.

If you are having a spare built while your trans is still in your truck, why not ship it to Mike L? He knows what he is doing with these things.

yea.. Dont half ass it..

If you buy and converter and blow the tranny after, then I would buy another converter.. So its a waste of money to me..

fyi.. my tranny made it over 190k.. It only needed redone due to a 300hp ppe tune.. the 220hp was fine..

Yes it is a stock now and has been since it started acting up and ive been good with it.
