I haven't been on here in a while, I've been doing some crazy unacceptable hoodrat shit. I started this journey knowing it was gonna cost a crap load of money but I'm an idiot so I did it anyway. My goal was to build a "somewhat" reliable 10 second street truck with a stock engine. its been running a year with no major issues so I'd say it was a success. I've pounded it pretty hard on the street and the track. My plan was to go really big on air and fuel so I'd get power without breaking a sweat. Truck is an 06 LBZ of course, engine was rebuilt by Burkett Racing Engines. LBZ rods, .20 over cut LB7 pistons, balanced, head studs... I pretty much removed the major weak point, the lbz pistons.

Only pic I have of the engine install but lots of pics to follow of the compound setup build. Don't know why it's sideways?

Thanks Tom, you were one of the few people that inspired me to do more with less years ago when you were setting records on the stock motor, fuel, air list!

12 mil pump and 200 overs are already tucked away, this is the beginning of the medium sized compound kit Moparkxracer "chris" and I built for the truck.

Was fun time helping with that one. Mark is the man with keeping the rods inside the block that’s for sure.
I appreciate all the help, more to come I hope lol.

I'm always down for crazy frowned upon hoodrat shit buddy! You and Chris are like family and glad to be part of your team!:thumb:
I appreciate everything, especially the patient answers to the crazy questions!

Landon have you gotten it into the 10's at the track?
Best run last season was a 7.25 in the 1/8th. Ive since then installed manifolds and up pipes and the valley turbo went to Mark for a larger exhaust housing and wheel. It pulls harder now with the upgrades so I'm pretty confident it will pull off a 6.XX in the 1/8th now. I have a set of slicks lined up for my 10 sec. attempt. I've also swapped the converter out to one of Evans 1072-2's and am doing 2nd gear launches now so I should be knocking on that door. If I don't quite get there I'll have Mark email me more spicy tuna lol.

That truck has come a long way since I first saw it when it wasn't far from new. Great job, your hard work shows up on those time slips.
Thanks Brent, always a pleasure spending time with you and your family at the track, get that C10 going!

Wait what part of NC are you in Landon?
I'm in Scotland Neck. about 30 miles east of Rocky Mount.
