Is a -10 an setup sufficent for the oil flow rate or is -12an what is needed from the adapter through the cooler? I've looked and may have missed it in one of the oil cooling threads.

I'm running 12 an lines and fittings on my oil cooler. Although where the fittings go into the cooler and filter adapter they go from 12an to 1/2" npt

Thanks I'd like to do a -10an adapter no thermostat and -10an inlet/outlet on a cooler as soon as I find what I need.

In az I'm not sure I need the thermostat

Earls recommends a thermostat. They state if you don't have a thermostat and the engine/oil is cold you could blow the cooler out if you get on it or spike the oil pressure. Being in az though you might not have a problem

really?!? i think that rep needs to go through a fram course again... stock pressure maxs is less than 90psi with a cooler pressure tested to at least200 psi

the problem with sandwich adapters is the make very sharp90* turns that result in pressure drops

I was just stating what was sent with the cooler. I wondered myself how it could cause the cooler to burst but haven't had any issues.

Are you talking the internal angles? Or fittings your the lines leaving the adapter?
