I think that's an admin thing. Some forums you post in over there don't add to your post count, like introductions iirc.

:admin: Yep we have the magic buttons to make post counts stop in certain forums :angel:

I have noticed that post count doesn't really mean anything. Sometimes the smartest people will have the fewest post. Its works the other way too but it can be surprising.
