Anyone know what they are? I don't want to put a bar in my truck, but I'd like to run it out to see what it's capable of. I thought running it at an 1/8 mile track would be a good compromise. Anyone know how fast/quick I can go before I have to put a bar in?

You can run anywhere once with about no safety equipment... thats what I plan on doing

Cage will come once I have some dough saved up to do a legit chromoly cage tucked behind my factory interior.

Crumb, I've run quicker than that in the 1/8 on a 1/4 mile pass. I never knew it was that slow for a bar in the 1/8.

I think it used to be 7.49... Since they lowered the 1/4 requirement to 11.49 its 7.35 now.

Thanks :D I have a rule book at the shop and I will check for sure.

Well I couldn't find crap in the rule book about 1/8th mile. Best advice is to check the track your going to run.

Do some research...Don't jeopardize my safety, or anyone else's...

If you can find any answers at that website you are a hell of a lot better than I am. Most of the stuff there is promo for the big boys and on line sales of their stuff. I even tried to order a 2009 reg book and the link kept telling me I was ordering more than they had in stock. I finally found some at NHRDA for $10 each. I thought the 7.49 was too slow. doesn't make such sense a person would break it at 1/8 and be over it by 3/10's or better in the 1/4. Not sure exactly how even if a person was running w/o a roll bar it would jeopardize your safety? Think they are talking about the driver here. Guy in the other lane isn't going to be safer if the other guy has a roll bar or not or are you just being obtuse.

It should be 7.49 or quicker.

X2 for around here but If anyone could run that fast around here with their truck they'd let you keep running. Actual drag racing tracks around here aren't to bad as long as you seem safe and not overly fast.

Wherever I can. Probly at Ennis as much as possible (I prefer 1/4 mile), but there are a few 1/8 mile tracks around here that I can run at too.

Not sure, Ken. Depends on how long it takes for parts to get here. I talked to Nathan last week about parts, so hopefully they show up by the end of the month. I would like to have it running and ready to race before the NHRDA race at the end of March.

Hope you can make it. I would like to meet you and look at your truck.
