Talk with anyone with a fast diesel. They will all agree that 1/8 is the way to go. 1/4 is a thing of the past. We are going so fast in the 1/8 that when we let off we still coast a low 10. 1/8 takes talent. 1/4 takes money.

Guess it's a good thing I haven't put 3.42 in yet.

My ProMod has 3.54gears and 34" slicks and it gets into 5th gear 125-200feet before the 1/8th! White Lightning was the same way with 3.42's. Gearing is load and these motors want to stay loaded to go fast! I'm looking for 2.90gears for the ProMod!

Awesome job guys! I will be the first to say I'm a 1/4mile guy but 1/8th mile is far more of a challenge to get everything right! Either way it is good for the sport and we push on. Here is my fastest slip for my ProMod which was the [email protected] from the first test session with it last year! I have been faster mph with it but getting the 60ft figured out with this truck has proven not easy on the footbrake for me so I am continually working on the truck to get the little details ironed out! Hoping to get my first 4.999slip in the very near future with it!5.54slip.jpg

Posting these for Zach as hes not a big forum person. But these are the only 2015 and newer though hoping to add a few more this year with him buying Reaper from Chavis and now ready to make passes with it converted back to an Allison and retire blue back to a Danville VGT/s400 compound street truck.

Brett Deutsch 69 C10 went [email protected] on 6/1/2019 at the FirePunk event during competition in the ProMod class on a slow 60ft for him! Truck is 2wd and weight is 3760lbs and is LBZ/Rossler Turbo400 with Neil Chance Lockup converter Tuning by myself with help from Phil Devries of Exergy Performance since it is a Bosch Standalone setup.

I have another for ya! This one is the craziest one so to speak cause it is a stock LB7 motor with stock IHI turbo and big fuel system and a little bit of spray lol! Buddy Callaway's drag truck has been a real killer in the 5.90class hurting feelings for the past couple of years without missing a beat. The truck is definitely a sleeper as it doesn't look like a million bucks but it will run out of your life! The truck stats are as follows:
Buddy Callaway
LB7-4L80 4560lbs my tuning and he ran a best of [email protected] on 10/24/2020

So there's actually another guy out there with a stock LB7 that shocked you, eh Mark? Guess I wasnt the only one.....

What style truck is he running? RC/LB or RC/SB? Would be interesting to find out what his suspension setup is like.....
