Ok everyone. I made five passes and my brother made one. This was my best and last run of the day. What do you all think for a heavy 8k lb+ brick?

not bad for a big hipped girl

just a lift pump, trans and tuning?

Yep. Basically everything you see in my sig. My own tuning, Mike L's trans and a lift pump. I tried to run a log of the run so I can see the timing, PW, fuel pressure, etc but the acceleration threw the V2 back and it unplugged. 😖. Should have tried more then just the last run

If you're looking for feedback based on what others have done, I can tell you what my dad's 07 LMM dually ran back in the day with a built trans, lift pump, and tuning. This was without a lift and stock wheel/tires and I think 7800 lbs if I recall correctly, it ran a best of 13.2 through the 1/4. It was a pretty consistent mid 13 second truck in bracket racing.

The last time I weighed mine it was something like 8100 lbs on the 265 tires. It was definitely faster back then. Now with the 285 tires I'm sure its heavier and slower. I was happy to get into the fourteens. 13 would be awesome but not going to happen with these tires and gears. It topped out at about 89 mph around 3/4 of the way down the track so it was not going to get much faster unless I improved the launch. I think I was RPM limited but my logging failed so I have nothing to review and I don't manage to glance at the tac while running down the track

There was another guy with a similar sized ford that said it was 8k lbs with the same mods. Couldn't break 17 seconds. When he seen that I got 15.xx seconds on my first run he was blown away.

Mid 14s in a lifted dually is definitely respectable. You should be able to go faster than 89 mph though. You might look and make sure you don't have some sort of limiter holding you back. You should be under 3000 RPM at that speed even with the 4.56 gears.

Yeah, you are right. I just ran the math and it is just under 2500 RPMs. Hmm. With I had that log. Would help me figure out what was going on. Guess I will just have to comb through my tune to see if I missed anything. I'm pretty sure I have all limiters well above that

Just curious, as I'm set up similar with tuning, lift pump, and built trans. Stock tires, but I'm carrying +700lbs for the steel flatbed. What kinds of EGTs do you see running the 1/4?

If you're running max effort tuning, you will be pegging a 1600 degree EGT gauge in the 1/4. Most tow tunes will be around 1200 degrees depending on how much power the tuner put into the tow tune and what they do with the timing.
