$1,000 Race!!!!

Ok fellow members. I've gotten myself in a Race for a $1,000 bucks against a 05 Supercharged Mustang. I'm putting my Truck on the Bottle with the Help from Mike (AKA) Super Diesel. He said it'll put it in the 11's with this set up.Last Wed at the Track there were 5 or 6 Supercharged Mustangs there, and the best times I saw were high 12's. The one i'm going to run has slicks, gears and has a Manual Trans.I believe he took it and had it Tuned also?? What do all of you think??? Can I take him???

Good luck, im sure you'll win mustangs are garbage. Hope he isnt running a 200 shot of N02 though he will blow something im sure furd engines are the lowest class grade of engines.

I have a friend with a N/A 01 cobra and it runs 11.86@115 w/o the bottle. Also, it is relatively street legal, except for the 4 inch straight exhaust.

I'm no Ford or Mustang lover in any way, and most of them are all bark and no bite. But there are a select few that deserve the slightest respect when they pull up next to you.

If it's at Desoto (Bradenton Motorsports Park) I'll come out there and try to spank him.......... He'll probably break the rear end if he's making that much power. I've seen it happen. Let me Know if it's in Bradenton. You can use my truck if I can borrow your tires. I'll put the freighttrain on a serious diet and it should be good for an 11 somethin.......

You can knock off at least 1 second with the correct nitrous setup. If he has no internal motor mod's (head,Cam) You should have no problem. Good Luck!!!!

Thanks for all the advice guy's. The more I learn about the car i'm starting to wonder. It's got a Vortec ( Paxton) Super charger on it, and he just ordered dual fuel pumps. It sounds to me like there's alot more done to the car than he first said.He's one of these guy's that just buy there power and bolt it on and hope it works, he doesn't know how to work on the car at all.He's never even had it at the Track..With the 4.11 gears his 1st to 2nd shift better be flawless or it'll be over.
I'm gonna run my Nitrous on a progressor so I can spray it out of the hole about 10 to 20% then have have it open up as soon as I get into 2nd. Hope it works i'll def. have it right before we run..I hope!!

If he hooks really good, and has what he claims, you will probably lose, but either way, it should be close. But you can never believe everything you hear.

I ordered everything Super Diesel said too from Cold Fusion, .125 sylnoid,and 4an lines, Dry nozzle drilled out to .125, jet kit 60 through 120.And a Progressor.I have 1 10lb Bottle and the feed line at home..If this isn't enough I def. will be contacting ya'll. I need you Nitrous heads to give me some pointers. I'm hoping this Progressor is gonna be the ticket.????

Thanks Mike I hope so too. This started out as he just having a Rousch Supercharged GT. Now I find out it was just a GT and he added a Votec SC to it.Since then I find out it's been Tuned by some guys at Diablo..Who Knows what it has. If it doesn't have Aftermarket Heads i think i'll be ok..Does anyone know how to recognise Ford Motorsports Heads, From Stock ones???
