08 LMM codes

I've been having some issues with my LMM. When it was stock it would throw 0087 rail pressure codes while towing. I've got parts to start addressing that. Now it is running like sh*t.

Throwing p 2565( vein position sensor?)

p0118 ( ECT sensor ,temp gauge drops out like it's lost power and a lot of injection rattle and loss of power always corresponds with it).

P 0202 #2 cylinder injector

P0205 # 5 cylinder injector

I have not checked balance rates yet but do these codes usually mean bad injectors? Truck idles rough and shakes pretty bad.

Does the vein position sensor have the white wire going to it? Are they the same as on my LLY?

I don't know what to think about the ECT sensor code? Where does it get it's readings? I have the EGR shut off but I don't have it blocked off yet. Plate will be here Friday from Tony B.

Thanks for any advise.

The exhaust just about makes your eyes water. If the injectors are bad they were more than likely causing the 0087 codes I would guess.

Maybe check thew wire harness right behind the alternator and around the engine.
The lmm has those really hard plastic cases to protect them but something coulda shorted. Check the grounds on the block by oil pressure sensor and the other side in front of passenger engine mount, one on left rear of head to body braided cable.

The vane sensor is a white wire, but the connector from lly to lmm is different.
The powermax turbos come with an adapter cable and most vendors here have them

202 and 205 are electrical codes so the injectors should shut down if they are having an issue.
On the lmm lbz 2 injectors have a shared power and indivdual controls iirc

I believe 2 and 5 are a shared power so I would think just one of those injectors being failed, or the power to those wires being shorted could create the issue.
And the circuit is not a B+ all the time and computer grounds contol.
The computer provides a timed power and ground, 48volts iirc
So you would have to backprobe the connector with the dvm set to min/ max to check the operation.
With the unburnt fuel (burning eyes) MAybe one of the injectors has failed partially stuck open, or leaking under lower rail pressure.

Got it running good now. It was a bad connection in the connectors on the ECM. It still has a 0047 but at least it starts and runs now.

I've driven the truck a little and it still pops a p0047 code. It seems to run good but the turbo seems laggy, truck smokes too much, and only makes about 2-3 lbs of boost at cruising speeds. If I stomp on it i can get 28-30 lbs EGTs seem to climb higher than they should given I'm running mild tunes. Does the vein position solenoid code only effect light throttle boost? If I just tap into the throttle the boost gauge doesn't move.

At part throttle, the vains are usually fluctuating around some due to slight inclines and stuff. When WOT, they aren't moving much. Vains might be sticking or bad position sensor maybe
