08 gmc no crank

my buddy has an o8 dmax it was runnin fine one day and the next mornin he went out and went to crank it it wouldnt even turn over, weve swapped relays and such and i took a power probe and jumped the starter an its good and i also looked at all the fuses and even took the cover off from around the steering column and looked at all the connections on the message center it says ''service theft deterrant system'' but i dont think it said that till i started screwin around any help would really be appreciated thanks

Maybe it needs to be flashed by the dealer with an update to the ECM?

I know there several LMM's that just stop running until they get up the update.

I had one do that so we disabled the theft deterent and it fired right up till he got it to the dealer to get it reflashed

Table G0301 in efi live change it from enable to disable
