07+ radio in classic body?

I've been reading about swapping my single disc radio out for the 6 disc factory head unit. I've read all about needing to have a tech II reprogram it and that stuff. but I drove my moms new suburban tonight and got to looking at her factory nav unit. has anyone took one of the newer units and put into a older truck say like my truck (05 pickup)? I know the mounts look a little different but it looks like they might be the same physical size. just curious if anyone has seen it done!!

I think you're going to have problems due to the differences in the electrical systems between GMT800 ('01-'07) and GMT900 ('07.5+).

Awesome. I didn't really think about them changing up the wiring in the dash. Anyone know of a nav unit from a pre 07 laying anywhere??
