Hi there last week my truck caught on fire going down the road.let me explain ..I had a power invertor hooked in my cigar plug .it popped the fuse so I replaced the fuse with a fuse from harbor freight those fuse kits they sell .I replaced the fuse .I plugged the invertor in to charge my laptop .all the sudden smoke started coming out of my dash ..truck was still runinng .I jumped out and disconnected the batteries..sorry for the long story .no real fire .lots of smoke .got it towed home.the fuse forbthe cigar lighter had collapesed on itself and shorted the outside posts together melting the 4 wires to the two cigar plugs 2 ground wires and 2 Orange hot wires from the underhood fusebox down into the cab harness..here it gets better ..so I called my local dealer for a replacment cab harness .none available no where national backorder.natha none to be had 199.99 list 149.99 my cost..and I needed a new fuse box underhood. I decided wrecking yard used ...no go none ..so I decided to repair the harness ..repaired every melted wire with same gauge 22 gauge and 18 for Orange cigerate lighter wires ..looks great ..silver solder wire and 3m heatshrink tubing..put truck back togethor get 4 codes p2563 p0461 p1631 p2510 .. and it starts for 3 seconds and quits..security code ..I have a tech 2 scanner. Oh and by the way I'm 600 miles from my shop .don't know anyone here ..all alone .and I am towing a raptor 38 ft 5th wheel..l and don't have access to gm techline ...or internet ..I'm doing this post on my phone..it gets better don't fall asleep..oh I must mention my truck has 111,000 miles no issues before this none..no codes.so I decide to get to the dealer ..they take in the basket case .2 days later they say they got it to run ..but still has codes ..350.00 dollars..no big deal.here is the printout word word.. vehicle starts and stalls..found code b2948 no ground to passlock .trace wires and repair bent terminals 6573 .repair and perform vehicle system check found code b2948 theft signal circuit high ,trace circut found bent terminals at c201 ..straiten terminals..........so I go to get the truck and the light was still on .running correct and everything works but stupid light on.I scan with my tech 2 and 4 codes still there 3 current pass no fail but the p2510 is fail and commanding cel light on..take it back to dealer next day .took all day then they called me and said they swapped ecm out and 4 new codes back the other 4 codes are gone ..the new codes with the new pcm are p0532 p2570 p 0102 p0113.. they gave the truck back saying it needs a new harness .which can't be had ..I'm confused now ...truck runs like normal but stupid light is one.one code is my nightmare p2510 .its a relay problem with pcm ..either bad relay or ecm or power circut problem..this story has a end trust me my fingers hurt from typing on my little phone. I need a wiring harness for a 2006 3500 duramax crew cab can anyone help .can anyone shine some light on my issue...any help would be great .....my vin is 6f160316 thanx randy
