Hey guys, I just picked up a steal of a deal that was way to good to pass up, bought a 06 rcsb v6 2wd with a mint mint body and 136km's . Now I have a donnor truck a 04 2500 with a lq4/4L80 that I want to put into this truck. I'm not concerned about anything except the pcm. Can I simply just swap the whole lq4 with harness over to the v6 truck with the lq4 pcm? Would the vins not matching cause an issue?

Ecms are the same v6 to v8.

As far as the harness you need to see if the reluctor wheelock the 6.0 is a 24 tooth or 58 tooth. If you want the dash to read correctly you need to use the 24 tooth. Same deal I just went through on my 1/2 ton. You will have to use the v6 harness ends and rep in for the v8 stuff.

You will need different frame engine mounts as well I'll dig up the part numbers.

You will need to flash the vine as well. Maybe vats relearn not sure I haven't got that far. You can use a 4l80 Trans with a 4l60 tune in the ecm as well. Will need a different crossmember for the 80. Different drives shaft I believe too.

You will need 15113847 and 15113848 brackets to move the engine forward. These are the frame brackets. Motor mounts are all the same 4.8-6.0 25828247.

What I meant was I have a complete lq4 wiring harness and pcm, should be an issue swapping the lq4 pcm in and doing a security re learn correct? As for mounts I'll be using the ones out of the donor truck! I believe they are the same! And ah! The reluctor wheel that's what is was missing, good excuse for a nice lumpy one!!

If it's an 06 Silverado the lq4 has a 24 tooth cuz it's a a gem 3 motor in it from the factory. The ly6 has a 58 tooth cuz it's a gen 4 motor. So you should be fine to swap everything over.
