I'm having problems with the driver side seat heater. It will turn on and cycle thru the settings by itself. It seems to do this after a rain or a foggy day/night.

What controls this? I would think that the switch and connector would be sealed against moisture. If it is in the seat back why does it only happen after damp weather?

I had this same problem on my previous truck an '03 Z-71 LT with the same interior options. Traded it in got my LBZ right after it started.

Any help will be appreciated.

Heated seat element could be bad. Id start simple and just check all your connections for moisture, or shorts. Report back with anything you find.

Pulled door panel off...first time it has been off. Everything looks good. All connections tight no bare wires. The box that all the connections go to is marked DDM...must be what controls everything. It looked good also. Was hoping to find something obvious.

I can't believe I'm the only one that has had this problem as I've had it happen on two trucks now. :(

I had the same thing happen to my 03. It can be the seat element but more likey it is the drivers door modual or the heater switch it's self. You can reflash the DDM or leave it unplugged for several days. Remove drivers fuse panel cover and you will see the door harness plug in at the top. If that doesn't work change the door mounted seat switch.
