I have a '05 3500 4x4 Dually that I just had tuned. I put a Volant cool air intake on, 5" exh, and a electronic SCT setup on the dash. When they went in and loaded the tune it ran fine until I hooked up to my enclosed trailer. It limped the trans in 5th which resulted in a P0700 and a P0735 code. We detuned it a little bit 3-4 times but now I am basically back to the stock settings just so that it will not limp the trans. We went in and set the limp settings from stock to 100 across the board but that didnt help. What can I do if anything to go back to the original tune. I was getting great fuel mileage with that tune but now I am back to basically stock fuel mileage. Any help would be greatly helped.

I would say run the tune when your not towing and if you can control it go easy with it. sounds like the tune is too much for the stock tranny.

Does it limp the tranny in 5th without the trailer?

In any event sounds like your tune is too powerful to start with, either time for a tranny or ease up on the power!

It didn't limp it when not pulling the trailer. It was building great power. From what I was being showed on the tune prog which is all greek to me, they put in 9 deg of timing on the main inj and added some to the primary and I was told it would improve things

Pull the trans, get some c2 and c3 clutches oem, and a transgo, that should* be enough for you. However, if you want to really do it right get a stage III kit from suncoast.
