LLY: 05 LLY Cranks but no start

I just got an 05 LLY in with bad head gaskets. I have a feeling its been ran that way for a while considering the coolant tank is black,smells like diesel fuel and looks like someone shoved a whole tube of grease down into it. Anyway the guy told me it ran, (but kinda rough) to the spot where I picked it up from. I got it home and it turns over but no start. I thought it would at least fire so I could move it around till I bring it in. Could the heads be so bad that it just isn't going to run? Also its been sitting for about 8 months.....

Have you looked to see if it's building rail pressure while cranking?

As far as I can tell, the rail pressure is great.

so 4k 5k 8k? How much psi while cranking?

I didn't do it for too long but I saw 7.5k right away.

Make sure the connectors are plugged in all the way to the ficm and the bale connectors.

So I just got it into a shop and they didn't have very good news. First off, they said it was only making 90 psi on one of the cylinders? They also told me one of the frost plugs was blown out of the side of the block and sitting on one of the motor mounts. This means that either there water in the block and it froze or the coolant pressure got so high that it blew it right out. Should I even bother telling them to tear down this motor or just find a different one? Could it have low compression because of the bad heads? Its got 160K.
