Why even mess with it? It's a Kodiak built to tow. Why try to go 80mph pulling a backhoe. Let that retard driving the dodge pass him, who cares..
Bahh .... I beg to differ Hondo ..
Because you can . :thumb:
They're worthless in stock form. Another 100 HP makes a world of difference on those slugs. The best way would be too contact duramaxtuner or ATP for efi tunes or do it the easy way with a ppe.
Slug ..... huh ! :spit: j/k
Easiest way to do it would be a PPE tuner . No hassles and kills the speed gov also . Plug and play and easy to use while rolling .... codes and clearing wise . Also might shim the prv valve too , Order a prv shim kit from ppe . It is the plug in the back of the rail on driverside . Add 2 washer behind spring and no 1093 code and limp from low rail pressure if it happens . Dont want the thing limping on him with a load out on the road somewhere .
The next level would be EFI and custom tunes . Im 05 also . Ran the ppe for 4 years before going to EFI live . Gauges aren't needed on tune 2 but still advised in my opinion if your going into any altitude . They will jump from 1200 - 1400 in high altitude . Drivng by them is something you do once you have them . Also helps on mileage rolling at 7-8 psi vs 10-11 . Not much pedal difference and only a few mph for better mileage over the long haul .
The ppe is very safe on say level 2 for towing big loaded . Makes if shift better and unlike stock . Like a school bus stock .
