So last night my buddy who just got an 04 Powerstroke lifted 10 inches on 38's edge with attitude, intake, straightpiped decided to make fun of my truck because the engine is made by Isuzu and so on, typical ford owner remarks. He says lets race tonight I was feeling pretty confident. Considering Chris (Neens) has been working on a tune for my stock ally for sometime. Which right now PULLS pretty damn hard.
So we go to an industrial area where no one was around so it was fairly safe, from the cops anyway. We get to the line I put her in 4x4 boost her up to 2400, my buddy drops is arms I take off the brake and instantly im 2 truck lengths away.
On my side of the 2 lanes there were like 3 dips in the road so I had to let off and then step on it again his side was smooth and flat that bastard ha. By the end of 3 races I had him by about 8 or 9 truck lengths 2 times and the 3rd race around towards the end I retardedly kept my foot floored which resulted in limping my tranny about 200-250 feet before before the finish line I of course just let off the pedal. My buddies at the finish line were all like OOHHH he got you by 5 inches. I laughed and said did you hear the LOUD clunk and notice I was off the throttle.. pretty funny but damn what an adrenaline rush I love that feeling.
The only problem was right at the start line when I launched right away in the front end she pulled right then I corrected and it turned left then I got it going straight. now im running BFG 33"s which dont have much meat left my buddy who started the race said my tires were spinning in 4x4 the road did have dirt on it though and wasnt very flat. Any ideas? btw Thanks Chris for that tune
