a buddy has an 04 lb7.

originally it would start hard cold and the not restart hot.

progressed to spraying either cold and no start hot

now no start with either hot/ cold anything.

truck has 93k on it but extremely high hours almost 5000 (mine with 250k only has like 6500 hours)

it has original injectors, completely stock, new fuel filter

only codes are pcm u1800 and pcm 0090

from reading through other posts of similar issues it sounds like injectors, but no one else was listing any codes.

what gives?? what else can i try on it?

for some reason i was unable to log any pids, i could connect but it said they were invalid, not sure why??

if it goes to the dealer they are going to want to throw parts at it before replacing injectors, especially with the 2 codes. injectors should still be under warranty with year/ mileage

Sounds to me like buddies FICM crapped the bed. Check the wiring harness and make sure it hasn't rubbed through first and that all the grounds on the engine/batteries are good and tight and clean. Also check the harness and plugs to the injectors.

If you can get your hands on another LB7 FICM it wouldn't hurt to swap it out and try it.

As far as PID's not working, did you validate them after selecting the PID's you want?

Does anyone know if the power supply to the FICM is fused? If so that's another thing to check.

still cant get this thing running.

swapped the ficm into my truck, starts right up

was able to validate pids and log a few things cant find anything unusual....

i guess my next step is to pull the harness from the bail connectors the ficm and see if we can find any issues

still getting u1800 and 0090
